Mt. Everest is famous not only for its proximity to the world's highest mountain (8,848 m) but also for its Sherpa Villages and Monasteries. It takes three weeks to start the trekking from Jiri and fly back from Lukla. Walking to and from Everest Base Camp takes at least one month to complete the trekking. Many trekkers find the walk to Everest better then the destination itself.
